activities and comebacks were postponed or canceled on October 30 to allow for
a period of grief following last night's tragedy in Itaewon. The agencies and
celebrities also conveyed their sympathy to individuals who were affected by
their messages.
The album
release and showcase for DRIPPIN's next full-length album "Villain: The
End," which was slated for November 1, has been postponed, according to
Woollim Entertainment.
IRRIS has
also stated that their new song "Stay with Me," which was set to be
released on October 31, would be delayed.
YOUNITE's
return showcase for the group's third mini album "YOUNI-ON," which
was initially slated for October 31 at 4 p.m. KST, has been canceled by
BRANDNEW MUSIC.
The release
of ICHILLIN"s third digital single "Draw (MY TIME)" has been
delayed.
Jung Eun Ji
of Apink has postponed the release of her next remake album "log,"
which was set for November 2.
Yong
Junhyung's EP "LONER," which was supposed to be published later
today, will also be delayed.
JYP
Entertainment also announced the rescheduling of Xdinary Heroes' second mini
album "Overload," which was set to be released on November 4.
"We
have chosen to temporarily postpone the marketing plan and content release
dates for our artists," YG Entertainment said in a short statement. We
will provide a future announcement with the exact timetables."
In Japan,
Kim Jaejoong postponed his performance. According to a C-JeS spokesman,
"We canceled Kim Jaejoong's Nagoya concert at the artist's request two
hours before the performance."
The casts
and directors of the recently released movies "Remember" and
"Confession" canceled their planned appearances at theaters to
welcome viewers. Initially, the event for "Remember" was supposed to
include Nam Joo Hyuk, Lee Sung Min, and director Lee Il Hyung, while
"Confession" was supposed to feature So Ji Sub, Kim Yoon Jin, Nana,
and director Yoon Jong Sik. The press presentation for "Men of
Plastic," a new movie starring Ma Dong Seok, was also postponed.
A
significant crowd crush happened during Halloween celebrations in Seoul's
Itaewon area on the night of October 29. At the time of publication, at least
151 individuals have been verified dead in the tragedy, with many more injured.
The Korean government has declared a national mourning period till November 5.
